Apparently rebound copy of the 1899 Walpole limited-edition printing of Mademoiselle de Maupin. Some chapters appear to be out of order, possibly as a result of combining two volumes into one. Still, this edition includes nineteen etchings by Francois-Xavier le Sueur, and drawings by Edouard Toudouze, each etching in two states, with lettered tissue guards. The original print run was limited to 1,000 copies, although this one is not numbered. Nevertheless, a beautiful copy of a rare print.
