Dated 12/9/1941, a letter to the family of a Nazi soldier killed in action in the Soviet Union, from the staff surgeon. The letter is addressed to Mr. Otto Neuendorf, informing him that his son Heinz Neuendorf died painlessly "after a heroic fight for his Fuhrer" and was buried in a single grave. Includes a Fragebogen ubder die Ubftammung ("Questionnaire about the Examination"), which appears to be a kind of death certificate. Both documents are yellowed with age and have some minor tearing.
